The main reason that Chrysler has mini-van and Jeep assembly plants in Canada is, in spite of the NAFTA agreement, Canada still charges a tariff on imports from the US. That is the bottom line of the soft word issue, so we slapped tariffs on Canadian Lumber because it's the only leverage we had on your largest export.
I sell a fair number of DTA headers to Canada, especially when the Canadian dollar was strong, but the customs tariff on the "bargain" headers was $120...= (
