I thnk that Chrysler, and the auto industry in general, deserves help. Not necessarily in the form of a bailout or loan.

Government should first and foremost get out of the way, and end the regulatory nightmare that prevents US companies from bringing profitable, fuel-efficient vehicles to market. The US has the best engineers in the world, who are handcuffed because there are too many rules about what we can't do here. Why can't we have 65 mpg diesel cars here? Why is the tax on diesel fuel so high, and refinery capacity kept low? Our politicians are more interested in in keeping environmentalists, and other countries happy, for their own political gains, rather than allowing some creative solutions to real world problems.

More government intervention in private companies just gets us closer to sociali$m.
