Hey Jonas, hope all is well. I may be coming throgh in a couple of weeks. Work has been really busy then I decided that I needed to fix a problem with my house.

It seems that the garage ceiling had minimal insulation and that the cold air return ran though one of the joist runs. The cold air return was not insulated and was not sealed and pulled air from all joist runs in the garage. Of course the sheet rock was not taped or sealed to the beams. I could see all the dust and dirt that have been sucked in along that gap for years. To top that off there was R-11 insulation that was installed backwards in all the joist runs.

The cold air return is now sealed and insulated to R-26 and R-30 batts now fill all the joist runs. I need to sheetrock the ceiling now. For some reason the cold draft coming down the hall is gone and the hardwood floor in the hall is a lot warmer.

Do you have a front axle housing for a ffPW? It can be totally sripped bare. At one time the passenger side CV joint let loose and it chewed up the inside of the ball badly. It is not a manditory replacement but since I am going to put disk brakes on the front and check some other stuff it might be nice to replace the housing with one that is not chewed up.
