For example I was in Oklahoma looking at trucks, and I spotted this high mileage late model 2wd Dodge diesel dually. It looked real clean, but something was not right. I looked it over for a while and figured out that a plastic part at the rear of the bed was trapped in a place it could not get unless the bed had been pulled and put back on....

Guess what? It was a hot shot truck that had had the bed pulled when it was new, a flatbed was put on, and it was used to tow. Once they were done with it they pulled the flatbed for their new truck, and put the original bed back on the old one.

Tricky, and hard to spot!

A lot of these trucks were only used to haul people to and from work, that is the sort of truck you want to buy if you can find it.

Good luck,

Eric
