Years ago I had a 85 F350 with independent front suspension. I had a guy build me a custom 8" lift for 44" tires. All was built from scratch. He cut the orgiinal pitman arm in 1/2 added ??" in the middleand welded it back together. Never had any issues. Truck ran true and straight.
