Yes, if you get the trailer to match the load, you still have exceeded the "factory recommended" capacity fo the truck.
For his needs, a 4500 or 5500 would be recommended, but I believe the 3500 will handle it just fine, with a stick shift of course.
Weather here in Boerne? By the time I answer, it will change again...been a bit warmer this week, rained a little over night, supposed to get cooler tommorrow.
Shot a nice shape buck this week, suprising with drought conditions how good of shape it was in.
