Don't you think that what you saw can and usually does happen eventually to most human organizations. As they and their members age, they do get to caught up in side issues and the bond that brought you together starts to loosen. But, I believe individual friendships that come out of groups like this will stand the test of time. I have watched leadership in various groups refuse to get younger guys participation and input. After a few funerals, they don't exist.

I guess Tom T. Hall got it right after all--Old Dogs, children, and watermelon wine!
