I've been to the third world on medical mission trips. Africa, Haiti when I was in the Coast Guard (1970's) and Peru mountains and jungles the last few years. Do not lose heart. We, and I mean WE AMERICANS still have the best country on earth, and have for several hundred years. And what makes us unique in the Christan heritage that formed the United States. Plus people helping people. Do not lose heart.
