With a '53 you have a second series bed. They are the rarest of the three different beds.
I had to rebuild mine on the '52, but only the left wheel well was rusted out badly.
If I were you, I would keep my eyes open on the forums, watch E-bay weekly under the Dodge Power Wagon listings, and also advertise in the PWA under parts or trucks wanted. 2nd series beds occasionally come up. As another option, you might consider buying a whole "junk" truck just to get the right bed.
