WM300 series started in 1960. The W300M series he referred to was in 1958 and 1959 only. As far as the other stuff:

WM300
251 ci engine - Started in 1961
synco transmission - True
12 volt- True
no parking lights - This started real late. I think it was 67 but can't seem to find it now
different bed - True

To muddle it more, Dodge did tend to do things EVEN if their own information says otherwise. I have a 1961 WM300 numbers matching truck that has factory Warn hubs. Dodge says they started offering them in 1962 but the optional equipment tag on the door pillar lists them right there. Kevin
