I do not know whether it could have originally been owned by a company like Bross or not.
This truck did have hand painted gold lettering related to the fire company on the doors and it definitely looked like it had been done a long time ago, like the 50's.
I also have the build card for it.
Kirkwood, N.Y. is just outside the city of Binghamton. Binghamton is very near the Pennsylvania line, in southeast N.Y.
The build card says the destination from Detroit was Carbondale, Pa. Carbonadale is in northeast Pa. So, I figured that the Kirkwood could have bought it somewhat "locally", but I am not certain of course. If I had a bill of sale I would know.
The build card indicated the truck came by boat, I assume across Lake Erie from Detroit to Erie, Pa and then east.
