More Info
No fuel being pumped into carburator. Should I fill up the fuel tank at least 1/2 way. Curriently not a lot of fuel in tank- how much is necessary to facilitate suction)?
-No spark- Any basic diagnost steps that I should follow to isolate problem?
-Could the problem be the coil?, I am using a Delco 10SI alternator w/ battery wire to ammeter and short ignition wire from ammeter to ignition switch.
-The truck is now negative grounded at battery and the (+) battery cable to starter with a 10 gauge wire running to (+) side of ammeter.
- A Coil wire from (+) side of 6 volt coil to ballast resistor and wire from bllast resistor to ignition switch.
- And a Wire from (-) side of coil to distributor.
-I haven not touched the inside of distributor since I received the engine from VPW
