we run a Cat 262B. 'perkipillar' engine, wheels, hand controls, heat, a/c, hyd disconnect, forks, grapple, snow-blower, auger, etc. I demoed Bobcat, Deere, NH, and Gehl, and the Cat was hands down the nicest all-round, and Cat service is the best in our area. However, we need a bigger machine and I think we'll try tracks on the next one...we'll demo the biggest tracked Cat they've got once we get some snow.
Only potential bad point is the engine, as I understand it is a throw-away item, but I could be wrong...
I honestly don't know how we managed to get anything done before we had a skid-steer.
