No, I don't have a billion dollars at my disposal, and I never will. But if this thing is going to cost each of us taxpayers $10,000, it would seem a lot more fair for the guy with the billion to give 10%. Instead they are likely going to have access to breaks which will shield them from responsibility. I can say that in the 40+ years I have been in the business of building homes that the financially less fortunate clients have been far easier to work for and far more grateful for what I have done than the wealthy. I have been cheated out of money at the end of the job by the wealthy, but not by the others.
