It's not only jets.
Here in Cheyenne, we are home to F.E. Warrern AFB...home of the Space Command 90th Space Wing, who are responsible for 150 Minute Man III ICBM's. Whe have numerous attack and surveillance helicopters in the air escorting maintenance crews and warheads at any given time. I happen to live right under a popular flightpath, and I never get tired watching or hearing them fly over...here comes one now.
We also have a fleet of Air National Guard C-130's based here and they too are always training to remain in a state of readiness, 24/7
They do it for all of us, and our community remains thankful for their service and their sacrifice.
And once a year, the Thunderbirds fly here, as they have every year since their formation, for Cheyenne Frontier Days. They buzz downtown and the surrounding area for several days, preparing for the air show, often close enough to see clearly see the pilots.
I have never heard a disparaging word about our military air traffic.
