I was asked by Chrysler.
I've been posting on the Chrysler LLC Blogs. They then invited me to write two articles for the Chrysler web site.
Then they invited me to join the Chrysler Customer Advisory Board.
I have been pretty critical of the car-like truck and faux Jeeps with IFS. Interior quality and buzzy little "world" motors that are an embarrassment to the Chrysler Legacy.
Since last August, the new Chrysler has made hundreds of changes, improved interiors, improved quality and has really started to listen to their customers.
Lifetime Warranty, $2.99 fuel, Electric Cars, soon to be produced diesels, great new features and a 29% improvement in warranty claims. They are going back to their roots in some areas and breaking new ground in others.
The Advisory Board has been instrumental in making quality suggestions and changes in interior plastics, fabrics, controls, drivetrain systems and engine types. We have not sugar coated our responses, calling junk, junk. We've been critical of the dealer network, the sales staff quality, "badged engineering" and platform sharing for the sake of keeping a line open, such as the sad looking Jeep Compass, the Aspen/Durango and Liberty/Nitro.
We aren't always listened to, but we're always given consideration.
We knew a week before the EV's were released that they were coming, we have once a month live chat sessions with Chrysler's highest ranking executives and we have a lot of fun and are gaining optimism, in hopefully saving one of America's greatest companies.
It would be a different world without Jeep and Dodge Trucks. We could have conceivably lost WWII, without Dodge and Jeep, it certainly would have been a tougher fight.
Some bold folks with bold hopes and sound policies have taken the reigns away from German control and have a plan to save Chrysler. I think they can do it and they are not afraid to compete head to head with the competition!
Some of the events are open to the public, the Ram Challenge is just about over, but if you go at least once a week to the Chrysler LLC . com web page you can find out about future events and auto shows, CAMP JEEP, and other activities geared specifically for owners and enthusiasts.
