Been working on the M-37, and a box of brake parts showed up last week. While swapping out lines and wheel cylinders, found a problem where the block at the end of the rubber line connects to the wheel cylinder.

It is leaking at the connection point of the block and the wheel cylinder. I guess the easy way would be to add a couple of extra copper washers...

Or simply lap the block on a stone, or even just find a new block.

The washers appear to be either 7/16" or 1/2" and are probably common bulk items. It also seems to be the issue which frustrated the previous owner. When we got the truck a few weeks ago, only ONE brake was working, with the fronts blocked off.

He said the wheel cylinders and lines were bad, so we put some new ones one, and it still leaks around the connection block!

Well off for a three day job out of state, I will get back on the M-37 over the weekend.

Howard
