Dave and Brian,
I went through this with my 03 2500 this spring. Both of my outer driveshaft u-joints were bad, lower ball joints bad, shocks, steering stabiliser bad, one tie rod end and cant remember but think upper ball joints too.
Turned out the u-joints were still under warrantee, 6 year cant remember the mileage. Dealer replaced those, which had them pulling the hubs. I then pulled them back out to do the rest of the work.
I bought a ball joint press off ebay, its a must have tool for this job. Some parts stores will rent or lend you the press, just dont try hammering them out, and back in!
My hubs were not bad at the time, but I know that they will not last forever so I cleaned the mating surfaces up really well and applied neverseize to them. We will see if that helps down the road for replacement.
This work is all doable , dont let it scare you off.
Good luck
Tim
