Take a look at this web site and this should give you a good idea on pricing for front end components. Most all parts are also available at your local parts supplier. Also take a good look at the tooling, you WILL need them or something like them for ball joint removal. These guys are great for phone help also.

Be advised!!!! You must remove the wheel hubs to replace the ball joints. I recently bought a 2002 2500 and had to do the track bar and all ball joints. The truck had 96,000 miles on her. Removing the hubs was one of the toughest jobs I've ever done, and I've done a few. As a matter of fact, I only did one side. I brought the truck down to my local garage and let them do the other side.
You might also consider changing out the wheel hubs while your in there. Preventive maintenance.
