Tim: I did the exact thing you are mentioning. I drillws out all the rivets to get the inner frame reinforcement out as it was expanding and deforming the rails from rust. It was a lot of hard work but worth it in the end. I ended up with the two frame rails the inner liners and the left the two rear crossmembers in to aid in the frame realignment and assembly. The front crossmember was the hardest as it is welded across the top rails. I can send you a pic to show you. The rivets just drill them down the centre carefully to just under there OD size. Usually the head would break off but if not give it a whack with a BFH and chisel. Then you can drift out the rivet that you didn't drill completely thru lengthwise.. Sounds simple but it took about a week of working everynight for a few hours each time.
