Brake arcing

Thanks to a tip about arcing from Steve (Kaegi), I did some research and found a place not too far from me in the mid-atlantic states that still did brake shoe arcing.
Steve explained on this forum previously that arcing used to be a standard procedure back in the day for good brake jobs.
Now there are much fewer places that do this in North America with the advent of disc brakes.
The arcing procedure grinds the shoe to exactly match the drum you provide. It involves meausurement and set up and then the shoe is ground on a jig. The pictures shows the procedure.

They only charged me $40 to do all 8 shoes for the 4 drums. Very pleased with their work.
