Looks like some Very OLD pic's of me and dad many years ago,LOL.
Chris,
drop the pan as suggested and clean out. Wash out the lifter area the best you can.
Call it good and Change the oil as Mike suggested.
You don't want to disturb the piston ring area as much as possible,with cleaning now or running it with a cleaner in the oil.
It will loosen up to much "gunk"
And burn enough oil that you won't be able to use it with out rebuilding.
