but you are WRONG...

As Chrysler was the first to use the SUBURBAN name with their Westchester wood bodied Dodge trucks...Then the name was proposed to be used for the 1941 model "WOODY" but was changed to what we kknow now as the Town and Country...but the name was not dead as it went to DeSoto in 1946 and was used on their long wheelbase (same as the limo) car with a roof rack on top...one is used in the Happy Days TV series. Next it went to Plymouth and was used on their 2 door ...and later 4 door "ALL STEEL" Wagon.

So it was not the General who first used it, but rather old mother MoPar.
