I've heard different accounts of how much hassle is involved
in a US citizen purchasing an old truck from one of our friends
up north. One trucker said he had stopped all personal dealings
because of static from our gate keepers. I know that in my state
if I possess any old truck (from the forties or fifties) and have a
credible bill of sale, no title is necessary and a tag is issued
with proof of insurance--no sweat!
But what about getting it across the longest unguarded border in
the world--is there a simple rule that always applies, or does
everyone have a different story?
