You need to go try another parts store. My local parts store here in Concord, CA just got me a set of the Monroe's last week.
I don't know where your located but if you want to give them a try, it's California Auto Stores,
925-685-7656, ask for Clare. (short for Clarence)
Maybe he can at least tell what to tell your parts store as to how to get them.
