Might have misled you with my 2.33 to one comment. No idea what the actual diff ratio is in the Tucker axle, presumably same as 1/2 ton (4.89)

The 2.33 is quoted on the speedometer as the figure to divide the indicated milage by to get the true reading (Tucker stick-on face gives indicated actual speed but doesn't change mileage)

So I'd think that the ratio between the Tucker pontoon drive on that axle, and the wheeled drive on he same axle type, is 2.33 to one.

At a guess if you used an identical axle on the front with 7.50 x 16s on it you'd still have to use a 2.33 : 1 ratio dropper on the front axle drive in addition to the diff reduction to get it something like right.

My original idea of using a dead 4 x 2 front axle would be the thing, you could use a Dodge chassis and cab but you have to keep the weight as low as possible.
