I am not sure this is the best method because after 4 weeks of laying out on the hood, the "doughnut glaze" may undergo a chemical reaction with the hood paint, requiring repainting of the hood after removal of the doughnut with a pry bar.
Even so, the theory deserves archiving in "best of the forum".
