The old style 318 and the 360 have some parts that interchange.
The distributor, distributor drive, and oil pump will interchange. The Timing gears and chains will interchange. The timing cover and water pump interchange.
One note: The old style 318 had a VERY heavy FORGED crankshaft. We used one to build a hot 340 in a Dart, but it took about $250.00 of mallory metal at the balance shop to get it balanced.
