On my WC-3, on which the gear case is centered instead of offset like the PWs, I used a piece of flat bar about 1/8 or 3/16 inch thick and about 1/2 inch wide. I removed the broken outer
half AND the good axle shaft from the opposite side. I then used the flat bar from the good side to push the broken stub out the bad side. The bar was small enough to go past the spider
gear shaft. This should work on the offset axles as well though I have yet to try it. Total length of the flat bar would have to be a foot or so longer than the width of the truck.
