Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that 75 was the last year for Dodge mid-sized truck production. The D-700 would be rated a 2-1/2 ton and the D-600 being a 2 ton. I believe that in 76, Dodge converted their truck production lines over to building motor home chassis. I doubt that I have 25,000 miles on my D-600. The 361 was a good engine, sometimes hard to tune. The rear suspension on these truck did not seem to be as stiff as the competition. But they did have a real tight turning radius. I run about 10 mid-sized trucks for field work in potatoes and grain. The 2-1/2 tons were a disaster as they were putting too much weight on one rear axle and would get easily stuck. The most popular truck in our market is the C-65, C-70 Chev tandem axle 5 ton for floatation in the field. Five ton militarys are making a comeback, especially for work in sandy soils. Tom
