Use military 3/4 ton trailer axles for PW trailer

Assuming you mean a trailer to tow behind your PW and not a trailer on which you load and tow your PW, here is an alternate suggestion. Use the frames and/or axles from a 1950-60's era 3/4 ton military trailer, models M101 & M-116 (M-115??). They use the similar hubs and the same 5 hole wheel as a M-37 and civilian power wagon, so you can use a common spare tire for truck and trailer (or your 2 spares will serve double duty -redundancy is good). They also tow like a dream. If you are going to the trouble of building a trailer to tow behind your PW, make it more (not less) compatible with your '55 PW. Besides, the complete rig looks wery good with matching wheels and tires the entire length.
