The reason a guy can charge a rate like that is because you have to have a lot of skill to do removal like that, you have to have a equipment, and INSURANCE to pay for, and quite frankly not a lot of folks are willing to put their lives on the line to remove a dead tree. Yeah it is expensive, but the alternative is to do it yourself or hire a fly by night guy. Remember, guys doing this particular line of work only get one chance to do it right. $1150 may seem like a steep price, but now you don't have to worry about a large dead branch breaking out and killing you or family members. $1150 is cheap insurance.
