As Paul says, do some reading on the turbo diesel register site. There is a ream of information about it there.
It happens to bone stock trucks too, not just modified trucks. My truck is stock as far as the front end and tire size.
Bottom line is you must do a systematic examination of the front end.
Many things can contribute to it.
On the 4X4's like yours (and mine), the track bar is often the culprit.
One good exam is to have someone turn the wheel back and forth with the engine off, while you are under the front end. You will be looking or any slop, abnormal or excessive motion on any of the parts.
In my case this exam showed the track bar had loosened at the ball joint, and the passenger tie rod was moving too much in its joint. I also had weak shocks as well as a leaking steering stabilizer shock.
I got the track bar fixed, replaced the tie rods, replaced the steering stabilizer and shocks. I then got an alignment.
End of death wobble.
Those who have felt it never want to experience it again.
