There is a dedicated group here who are trying to keep it alive until we can rest assured that everyone has access to the correct filter number for their truck, whether it be a Military Junior “cartridge type”, Deluxe Clean Oil “sealed can unit”, Deluxe Clean Oil “sock type’, Motor Improvements “sock type”, Purolator “cartridge type”, or other. Some people blindly accept whatever the parts vendor tells them without taking into account the many different unique filters that were used over the years and that their truck could have been equipped from the factory with any one of them. Add to that the fact that a major supplier is having trouble assuring correct sizing from its manufacturers, can you see the reason for confusion? An educated shopper is a smart shopper. Besides it is fun to research and learn about all the variations of Power-Wagon parts.
