Hi Paul, an you provide some photos of an empty "Military Junior" canister - outside from driver's side, outside looking down from top to the inside, and the underside of the T-handle lid? I am not familiar with the "Military Junior" style. All of my trucks have used the Deluxe Clean Oil system that needs the Sock Type replacement element correctly pictured and listed as a 1011 on the NAPA site, but I have not owned anything earlier than mid 1947.

I can send some photos, or post here, of the Deluxe Clean Oil system parts. One unique feature is a special perforated hemisphere shaped part under the T-handle lid that pushes the "sock" filter down and forms its top into a dome.

Mike, I believe that VPW gets their sock oil fiters, ultimately, from the same manufacturers as does WIX. I was told by NAPA that three seperate vendors supply WIX with these filters. If VPW has not run into a supply of the oversized filters, they may soon when their inventory is replentished, unless WIX takes control of the situation with their suppliers.
