You found a good one there. Technically, the parts would not be correct for a 65 WM300 as they had stopped being offered from the factory before 1965. The carburetor that is required for the governor operate might not work correctly on the 251 engine in the 65. The holes in the governor bracket might not line up with the head bolts on the 251 engine.

However, don't let any of that stop you from putting it on your truck, if that is what you want. I would only suggest that you do not modify any of of the parts in order for them to work correctly on your truck. Doing so could reduce the value significantly.
