All kidding aside, I would like to see Chrysler and for that matter GM and Ford to offer new product that could be exported as well as sold domestically.
I do not however support any financial aid from the government. If any of the big 3 go under then they deserve to go under.
The putative (by his own words) next president, Barack Hussein Obama, has suggested the the government lend Detroit 10's of billions. This at a time when the current president just quietly signed a bill that will cost taxpayers hundreds of billions, which is said to be to keep innocent homeowners from foreclosure but really is welfare to Wall Street.
There is no excuse for American automobile companies not to be able to produce cars that rival the Honda and Toyota in gas mileage and quality of build.
I just don't understand why there isn't available a U.S. built car with small 2L diesel engine capable of 40+ MPG.
