And some joy at that light too.
Well after 43 days of being assigned to lovely Anderson Calif, between Red Bluff and Redding, enjoying the days and weeks of smoke filled air, I have gotten word I am finally going to be demob-ed from the Shasta Lightning Complex. 136 fires, 3 ending up to be major fires in their own rights of well over 10,000 acres each.
I am looking forward to picking up my '52 M101 trailer that Steven Fowler picked up on a trip thru here. Steven brought it back to load my motor, transmission, transfer case, radiator, and 5 new NDT Denman's, tubes and flaps. Since I didnt make it to the Hollister Rally, it will be my first time seeing my motor that I understand caused quite a stir at the rally.
The brake lines and fuel lines arrived while I've been up here. So hopfully fire season will pause to let me get some work done....YEAH RIGHT!! This shows no sign of letting up with a new major fire breaking yesterday in Mariposa County, near Yosemite Nat. Park.
