Hi Folks:
I recently purchased the '65 PW listed in southern NH. I'm interested in hearing other's experiences in stripping it down to metal to begin some structural repair. I contacted a couple of people who advertise soda/media blasting. Is that the best route to get her back down where structural repair work can be done? Thoughts?
One outfit quoted me $1100 to strip the outside; add another $300 to do the inside cab and underbody. How does that compare with other's experiences?
I'm not looking to restore as a show truck; more interested in shoring her up, cleaning her up and having a solid work truck to pull brush off my property.
This site has such a knowledgeable and loyal group of contributors that I thought I'd see what those in the know had to suggest.
