Hi, I sold these trucks new. Here in MN the 440 while first offered in 4x4 in 75 really took off sales wise in 1976 even though our terrain isn't particularly rugged. We sold one 440 in 1975. It was first offered 1974 in 2 wheel drives, In 1975 it was an option in W200, W100s in 1976.The last year for the 440 was 1978, I think the engine was by then manufactured by a contract w/ IHC.
Trim levels were Custom, Adventurer, then Adventurer Sport, but Adventurer SE were available in 2 wheelers. The Adv. SE became
an option in 1979. There were of corse other
promotional models ie: Macho, Viking Special ETC
