There seem to be a lot of M37 hard-tops with oval back windows, at least around here (rag tops don't really work in North Idaho). They didn't fit very well, but so many were done that I'm thinking it must have been an "official" modification. Maybe when these trucks were in the Guard, BLM, C of E, or other secondary government service, there were a bunch of free CCKW tops available.
