Never throw nuthin away, you never know when somebody's helpful hint will use up some detritus.

That said, it didn't work anywhere on my truck. But it was so rusty, that I had to replace the cab. Just this weekend I r&r'd the winch for seals and bearings, and broke several bolts that I had heated the nuts red hot on. Wax, pentrating oil, acid wouldn't have done any good, I ended up just burning them off. So there are some places where nuthin helps. Any lesser problem, I think the hot wax is a better alternative than penetrating oil- it does sliquify (typo, but I like it) and penetrate, then remains in the threads to lube.
