The truck has the stock 4.89 gears and I've got McCleary Superlug 9.00x16 tires on it. My only "problem" is the transmission whine. It happens in all gears, but is particularly harsh in 4th. Anything above 35 MPH is torture on the ears. My M37 doesn't come anywhere near the amount of noise even at 50 MPH with 4.89 Bob Stahl gearing. The mechanic I'm using is versed in M37's and PW's so I respect what he is telling me about the transmission.
Would there be any problem connecting the current PTO to the NP 420?
