Transfer case shimmed for angle- smoooooth

I used the protractor head that came in the 'combination square' set- this one still had it's bubble intact. I removed the little round cover in the back of the tranny cover, and could put the end of the blade on the u-joint caps, and pivot the protractor until the bubble centered. But then I had to crawl underneath to do the rest. Turns out the transfer case was off 3 degrees, in such a direction that adding three fender washers as shims at the front mount bolts equalized all the u-joint angles for both the intermediate shaft and the rear shaft. Really quieted it down at cruising speed, and got rid of the lever jangle. Now the front drive shaft is off quite a bit, but I think I can live with that, as little as I use 4x4.
