Torque was rated at 170 lb·ft (230 N·m)
In 1984 they started making a 6 cylinder version that had a 3.0 and later a 3.5 liter displacement, avoid these engines for offroad use. They didn't offer a bit more horsepower and are NOTORIOUS for cracking heads.
The 5 cylinder 3.0 turbo diesel was used from 1972 though 1985 in the 116,123 and the 126 body cars. In laymens terms thats the 240D, 300D, 300CD, 300TD, and the 300SD.
