I checked the parts books, from 1957 until 1977 the part number for the winch bumper for a W500 is 1506 665, and the quantity used is shown as 2. So the bumper did not change according to the parts book, and each truck got two of them.
The parts book only lists a quantity of 1 for the Non Winch bumper, and that part number changes a few times over the years. The non winch part number never matches the winch W500 part number.
There would be no reason to use two if the bumper is of the same style as the W300 winch bumper, so the quantity alone should be a giveaway that what Jerry has is right.
There you have it John, listen to us, or not, I am done proving that what Jerry has is the correct W500 winch bumper setup.
