The head bone is still connected to the neck bone. You cannot do a "head bone - toe bone only" brake job and have things work.

Installing a new MC requires that you do a major brake adjustment. If the brake shoes are not adjusted properly, the MC piston travel is affected. And on and on...

Brakes are a safety item and can affect lives. This is a "do it by the book" matter. Yet it seems that many of us don't have "the book". Instead of offering advice based on my opinions, I have included the brake section of the FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL on my web site in a form that you can print out and take to the shop.
