All the images that are shown on the forum (like I have been doing a lot lately) are hosted somewhere else.
That means that Joe is only paying for the post itself, not the bandwidth of the image.
Most of the images I share are hosted by Image Event, and I pay a flat yearly fee for that service no matter how many times an image is viewed.
So it does not hurt Joe at all. I am sure a bigger problem for Joe is the spammers, they most likely eat up a lot of time, which keeps Joe away from the important things in life, like his trucks! Ok, and maybe his family.... :-)
I feel guilty from time to time when I get into a discussion on the forum that goes on for more then a couple posts, but I also like to see other peoples input, which I would lose if I took things off the forum into E-mail.
