A big knuckle (3500lb) Dana 44 is not mentioned in any of the books, and I have never seen one in person (I have looked at a few hundred of these trucks). As far as I know all 1957-60 W100s and W200s used the lighter duty small knuckle (3000lb) Dana 44.

The only way to get a heavy duty front axle in a PG era PW is with a W300 or a W500. Glenn just bought a nice W500, maybe you can talk him out of it? :-)
