Turning up your pressure should help. NO settings on your welder or it doesn't SHOW you wher to set it. I've got a Miller 250X and you can control both wire speed and amperage. Start low and work up. Stainless blows away quicker than mild steel. I bought mine thinking I'd get a spool gun but bought a Miller TIG and had no need then

I'd agree TIG weld if possible. I've never had too much luck stick welding thin stainless as the heat control isn't good emough.

Dave, why do you have so a bad opinion of MIG's? I still use a stick on thicker stuff(1/2" and up) but wouldn't go back to a stick on most jobs. I will give you cheap MIG's can be a nightmare, especially flux core wire. Kevin
